I have an autographed framed picture of the Picture displaying his band. The two Trumphet players in back row were friends, Johnny best, Billy May and in fromt of them Ray Anthony.

My father's 78 records got me hooked on the Big Bands. Glenn Miller was among the many bands I grew up on. Atlantic city's Steel Pier is where I got to experience the Live Bands.

Love the music from that era. Especially Glenn Miller. Besides In the Mood, a couple of favorites are Pennsylvania 65000, Moonlight Serenade and String of Pearls.

I think that scene was from “Sun Valley Serenade” . That is John Payne playing the piano. The “Glenn Miller Story” with James Stewart is a favourite movie - shivers when he discovers his sound and plays ‘Moonlight Serenade’ for the first time.
