The gorilla story has happened more than once. Many years ago at the Jersey Wildlife Preservation Trust a young boy fell some 20 feet into the Gorilla enclosure and was knocked unconscious. The big silver back Jambo stood guard over him, patted and stroked him and kept the other gorillas from getting too close even if they were only going to be curious. He looked after the boy until the emergency services arrived. There is now a statue of Jambo beside the enclosure. The little boy fully recovered.

I love these kinds of stories. I love animals and especially dogs. It's nice to see positive stories of doberman pinscher saving people. They get a bad wrap because they look mean. I've owned dobermans and a rottweiler. They were the sweetest, biggest babies I've ever had but they will protect the ones that protect them. Anyone in need they are there for❣️
I often see autistic & Downs syndrome kids horseriding at the local stables. It's so obvious the horses & ponies know they have precious cargo & the children are enthralled
It seems that animals show better poise and behavior under crisis than humans. And they seem to know what to do in life-threatening situations. Intelligence or survival instinct?
