There are a few billionaires out there that seem only interested in amassing more money no matter how it affects society or the environment. I give what I can and if I had more I would give more. I don't ever want to be "rich" but comfortable and able to help out those in need would be a wonderful thing indeed.

You forgot to mention St Francis if Assissi. He was the son of a very wealthy weaver and gave absolutely everything to the poor, beginning his saintly life. Curiously enough, it took about 15 centuries for a Pope to adopt his name.

Sometimes, I give until it "hurts" financially but it has never failed, to totally bless my life, in some way. I believe, everyone needs a hand up, on occasion, that we should help people that struggle. That is the meaning of true love and caring.

konrad, SADLY POPE FRANCIS IS DESTROYING THE CATHOLIC FAITH. HE IS THE DIRECT OPPOSITE OF THE GENTLE SAINT FRANCIS OF ASSISI WHO ALSO GAVE US THE FIRST CHRISTMAS CRIB.

I give what I can, it always seems that when I do, something good comes my way again. I really feel if I had millions, I’d give all I could because really no one needs millions to live a good life. Better to give what you can to help others as much as possible.

100 bucks or 500 million either one I'd think I was rich right now.

I don't think any of these people sound like billionaires except maybe the oil guy. Millionaire's yes. Not billionaires. Still nice gesture on their parts.

You never see a Brinks truck following a hearse. Share what you can. I always wish I could walk up to kids washing cars or selling cookies for a band trip, school or church event, or some other thing, and say here's the money for your (fill in the blank) . But only after they learn the satisfaction of working toward a goal.

Living for self never really satisfies, when serving others satisfaction multiplies.
