St. Patrick's Day 2020 will be celebrated on March 17, but sometimes it can be officially moved if it falls on other religious occasions. The last time it was moved in 2008.
#2 The real-life Saint Patrick WASN'T Irish and DIDN'T drive all the snakes away from the country
He was born in Britain and brought to Ireland against his will to become a slave. It took him 6 years to escape. For 12 years straight after his escape, Patrick was thoroughly studying religion. He grew into a well-educated priest who later became the one to bring Christianity to the whole country.
#3 As stated in Irish legends, only male leprechauns exist
So if you see St. Patrick's Day decorations with small mischievous ladies in green, don't believe your eyes.
